Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece tells the story of the Phantom, a gruesomely deformed man who lurks beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House terrorising the cast and crew.
The mysterious masked man falls in love with Christine Daaé, a singer from the opera’s chorus. The Phantom devotes himself to training Christine to become a star, but when she spurns him and falls in love with Raoul, her childhood friend, the Phantom's immense jealousy leads him to kidnap Christine. However the Phantom is unaware of the lengths Raoul is prepared to go to get her back.
